Sedhr Punjab holds Symposium on Teaching Methods of English

The US Consulate General Lahore and Sedhr Punjab has organized the first International Symposium on Teaching Methods of English Language in Higher Education Institutions of Pakistan.
Ten regional conferences, workshops and symposiums for English language teachers have been organized in partnership with Allama Iqbal Open University.
US Consulate General Lahore Spokesperson Carl Rogers addressed the symposium event and highlighted the importance of English language for higher education and economic development of Pakistan.
“We are providing a valuable opportunity for English language professionals to share their knowledge, experience and best practices,” he said.
This year, the United States and Pakistan celebrate 75 years of bilateral relations, and this program is another example of our long-standing partnership.
He thanked the volunteers of the program. He added that promoting English language learning and supporting English teachers is at the forefront of America’s partnership with Pakistan.
English is the language of international communication and helps facilitate strong relationships with countries around the world. Sehr Punjab Paksitan is working with Allama Iqbal University Islamabad in this regard.
